Sun rays streamed through the curtains into the quiet room. The lingering scent of post-love passion wafted around in the air.

On the bed, Damon Hayes and Yvonne Williams laid intertwined and naked, their bodies pressed close against each other.

Yvonne slowly turned over in her sleep and mistakenly fell off the bed, hitting her head hard on the bedside table. Due to the force, and the pain, she was instantly woken up, every ounce of sleep dispelling.

"Owww!" She exclaimed as she rubbed the spot on her forehead that banged the bedside table. She opened her blurred eyes and took a quick look around the room. She was surprised to find out that she wasn't in her room. She was in an unfamiliar room that looked like a hotel room.

How did she end up here?

With her hand still on her head, Yvonne gently massaged it with one hand and supported herself to sit up with the other hand.

Suddenly, she opened her eyes wide in surprise, realizing that she wasn't the only one in the room.

There was... a naked man lying on the bed!

"Ah——!!"

Her scream shattered the silence of the room.

Yvonne was so shocked that she was rendered speechless, she kept staring at the man on the bed, her mind blank.

She had no idea why she was in this room. She wasn't wearing any clothes, and the man on the bed wasn't either. They were both naked. Did that mean that they had...

"Who...who...who are you?!" Yvonne managed to ask, still in shock.

Damon shifted his body, and, with a swift movement, stretched his arm towards her, and pulled her into his embrace. Then, he proceeded to put his hand over her mouth. "Quiet!"

Yvonne struggled to wriggle out of his hold, rapidly sitting halfway up and pulling the quilt to cover her body as much as possible.

He, of course, couldn't fall asleep amidst her commotion, and he too sat up.

Only then did Yvonne get to see properly see his face.

A man of striking charm, with a handsome face and clear, bright blue eyes. His ocean-blue eyes were especially mesmerizing, a slight squint causing palpitations. His lips were thin, pink and very kissable.

Damon propped himself up on the bed. Unlike her, he was not one bit bothered about his naked state, displaying a chest devoid of any extra fat, clearly the result of routine exercise.

"You... you... I... I..."

Yvonne's gaze fluttered aimlessly, pointing at him tremblingly, unable to get her words out properly.

Suddenly, she heard him say nonchalantly, "Miss, you're an adult now. Can't you guess what happened between us?"

A thunder-like noise echoed inside Yvonne's head, reverberating loudly. She didn't believe his words because she couldn't remember a thing.

Damon continued, "I need to reiterate, it was you who pulled me in last night, hmm? Get it?"

She... she had pulled him in? Why didn't she remember a thing?

Her head hurt as she tried to force herself to remember, but her memories were hazy.

Last night, she had drinks with her coworkers and got too drunk but she couldn’t remember what happened after…

"You're not lying to me?" Yvonne asked in a trembling voice.

"Lie to you? Why would I do that?" Damon raised an eyebrow at her in question, his deep voice portraying impatience.

He straightened his body, picked up the pack of cigarettes from the bedside table, lit one up, took a puff, and calmly exhaled, seemingly without a care.

Yvonne watched him, and all she could feel was anger radiating off her in waves.

For years, she had held on to her purity, only for her to lose it in such an absurd, ridiculous manner. Not only did he not offer any words of solace, but it seemed like she was the one to have taken advantage of him instead. And the worst part of it all was that she couldn't remember anything.

"I was drunk last night," She said through gritted teeth, her voice hardened. "What happened between us was an accident. I hope you can forget about it, and know that it meant absolutely nothing."

Damon squinted his eyes at her slightly, never expecting that she would say something like this.

He thought she would play hard-to-get. After all, there were countless women who would go to any length to get in his bed.

However, his thin lips couldn't help but curve into a beautiful arc, revealing a charmingly enticing smile, "Be rest assured that it's forgotten. Just so you know, I am usually very picky. If I hadn't been drunk last night, I would never have settled for less."

Jamie Hart drove his car with one hand, the other hand holding half a lit cigarette.

He turned his head and glanced at Damon sitting in the passenger seat through the wafting white smoke, "Damon, why were you absent last night?"

Damon leaned back against the leather chair, absentmindedly fiddling with a pair of sunglasses. On hearing the question, his blue eyes lite up, "I had some things to take care of last night."

"What? Women?" Jamie teased, looking at Damon next to him whose lips had curved into a smirk. He could tell that Damon had definitely been up to no good last night. He could bet that the so-called business Damon had to take care of last night was definitely related to a woman.

A pair of sunglasses suddenly hit Jamie's face. "Your eyes on the road please. I'm not ready to die yet. I heard there has been an accident on Walker street . Hurry there."

Jamie grunted in acknowledgment before saying, "There's something fishy about all this. Last night a female college student died downtown. The police found that the cause of death was drugs... you know, they have been watching us already."

Damon raised his eyebrows in a leisurely manner. Appearing nonchalant, he closed his eyes lazily, his voice even more casual, "It's just the police. There's nothing to worry about."

Jamie only laughed, saying nothing more.
