**Elora's POV**

“What the hell?” I yelled furiously as I watched the man I called my fiancé making out with my so-called best friend.

“Lucien! Zora!” I yelled, but they didn't answer me. Instead, they continued what they were doing, acting like I wasn't even in the room.

My heart shattered to pieces as I watched the two people I thought were my last family betray me in the most painful way possible.

“Harder, Lucien! Oh my goodness!” Zora moaned out in pleasure as Lucien continued pounding into her.

Anger seared through me at an incredibly fast rate, and I couldn't take it anymore. I instantly threw my bag to a corner of the room and yanked Lucien away from Zora. His dick was still hard, but that only infuriated me more.

I went to stand in front of him, and before he could say anything, I landed two slaps on both his cheeks.

“You slapped me?” He thundered, glaring dangerously at me as if trying to intimidate me, but I stood unmoved.

“And I will do it again and again if need be. How could you do this to me after everything I have done for you?” I faced Zora. “For both of you!” I yelled.

“What exactly have you done besides flaunting your wealth in our faces?” Zora snapped and I gasped.

“What the fvck are you talking about? You know the kind of person I am, Zora.” I stated, but she only scoffed and looked away.

“So, you think I loved you, right?” Lucien asked and stood in front of me. “You aren't worthy of my love because you're just an Omega. The only reason I decided to put up with you was because you're next in line to the throne, and you becoming Luna would automatically make me the Alpha. This is the only reason I've been with you, Elora.” He smirked.

My heart throbbed painfully and I clutched to it. Tears rolled down my cheeks in torrents. How could they do this to me? After losing my parents, I took Zora as my sister since she was my best friend, and then I met Lucien and fell in love with him since I couldn't find my mate. I accepted my fate because I thought he loved me like my mate would have, not knowing it was all a facade.

I was supposed to take my father's throne from our selfish beta, but they said I must get married first. My joy knew no bounds when Lucien proposed to me this morning. I was happy and decided to surprise them by taking us out, but didn't know they had a surprise for me as well.

I thought they weren't like the others, but they've shown me the kind of monsters they truly were.

“So, all these were because of my title?” I asked and bawled my fists.

“What else do you have to offer me aside from that? Do you think the world revolves around you because you're the Alpha's daughter? Do you think everything would work in your favor?” He laughed. “Think again, princess.”

“How long have you two been doing this because I'm certain it didn't start today.” I asked, ignoring his words.

They exchanged looks and burst out laughing.

“We owe you no explanations, princess. We were in the middle of something special before you came in, so leave.” Zora snapped at me.

“Zora, how could you do this to me? I loved you like a sister. You are my best friend, why did you choose to repay kindness with betrayal?” I asked.

She scoffed and stood up before coming to meet me. “Lucien, show her why you chose me over her. Show her why we repaid her kindness with evil.” She smirked.

“With pleasure, darling,” He chuckled, and my heart squeezed in hate. He held her waist and turned her naked body around. “You see this, Elora? She's got everything I want in a woman. Beauty, shape, kissable lips and is excellent in bed. She isn't a worthless Omega like you!”

I shut him up with another slap. “Are you nuts? Do you think being an Omega stops me from being the Alpha's daughter?” I yelled.

“Being the Alpha's daughter is the only good thing you have,”

“Shut up!” I snapped. How shameless! After everything, he still had the guts to spout gibberish before me? Did he take him for a fool because I chose to keep shut about certain things?

“Both of you will pay for what you've done. I swear I won't spare you,” I warned, pointing my index finger at them.

“What can a weakling do?” Lucien laughed.

I wiped the tears away from my face. How cruel it was to see someone I thought cared about me, someone I thought loved me so much, how cruel it was to see him treat me this way.

“You call me a weakling? Have you forgotten that I am the heiress to the throne? I could finish the both of you with just a flick of my finger. You know what, that's exactly what I'm going to do. I will make sure I expose the two of you, get you publicly disgraced, then decide your punishment from there.” My voice was firm and authoritative.

They have hurt me greatly, and I must deal with them.

I glanced at the ring on my hand. “You gave me this ring just this morning, claiming you love me and making all sorts of stupid and fake promises. You can have it back, I don't want it anymore.” I removed the ring and threw it on the floor.

“That's a good thing. At least, when we get rid of you, we won't feel guilty that you died on the day you were proposed to.” Zora snickered.

“What?” I furrowed my eyebrows, trying to comprehend what she had said. The realization dawned on me, but before I could make a move, Lucien grabbed my neck and lifted me off the ground, pinning me to the wall.

Zora came with a knife and my eyes widened. “Don't you dare?” I managed to say. His hands were tight on my neck, and it was sucking the life out of me.

“The future Luna got depressed about her parent's death, and so she had to kill herself to get rid of the pain. We tried to stop her, but it was too late. That's a catchy reason for your death, don't you think?” Lucien sneered.

I couldn't speak and tried to push him away, but his grip tightened more. I was slowly running out of breath, so I did the only thing that came to my mind then. I kicked him in the groin and he released me. I started rushing out of the room, but I halted when I felt something pierce my flesh.

My eyes widened as blood spluttered on the floor. I did a robotic turn to see Zora, holding a long sword that she had stabbed me with.

Blood spluttered from my mouth and I fell on my knees.

“I'm sorry, Elora. Sorry, you wouldn't get to see how I and Zora will overthrow the beta and take over the pack.” Lucien chuckled.

I tried to speak, but I couldn't as immense pain surged through my veins, but most especially my heart. Zora forcefully dragged the sword out, and I screamed, falling on the floor.

“I'll do a better job as Lucien's Luna, so you don't need to worry.” Zora smiled and Lucien grabbed her by the waist, engaging her in an intense kiss session.

Tears rolled down my cheeks. I tried to force my eyes open, but couldn't. I instantly knew that was my last moment, and it was something I shouldn't waste. While watching them, I felt resentment and prayed to the moon goddess for a second chance to come back and make them pay for what they had done to me.

Soon enough, I couldn't keep my eyes open any longer.

The last thing I heard before succumbing to the darkness was,

“Long live the Luna.”
