"Kill her, kill her, they said outside that getting rid of her can lessen our punishment. We'll even get money once we get out. How fantastic it is."

In Hazlitt City Prison, a short and stout female prisoner with a chubby face pointed at a slender figure crouched in the corner and bellowed excitedly at the other women inmates.

Then, punches and kicks rained down on Bonnie Clark. Each second, she could hear the sound of her bones shattering.

Yet, she was completely defenseless, her hair disheveled as she curled up in the corner.

Pain. Every part of her was in agony. The heart hurt the most that she couldn't help thinking that it was not bad to die like this.

"Bang."

The heavy iron door opened, and the punches and kicks suddenly ceased.

A sticky substance on her forehead clouding her vision, Bonnie Clark struggled to lift her head, opening her eyes to see through the hazy bloody view.

A pair of long, straight legs, one male, and one female, moved towards her. In the dim light of the cell, the woman's pair of red high-heeled leather shoes were noticeably bright.

"Mr. Robinson, you are here. This place is not clean. Sorry to dirty your shoes."

The guard looked at the man with a flattering expression. Before the man could say anything, the woman next to him already had a smile brighter than spring flowers.

"Thank you, I just want to speak a few words with her. After all, we are good sisters. It is also my responsibility that she has gone astray."

"Miss Clark, you are truly too kind."

Kind? Bonnie Clark stiffly followed the long, white legs upwards, to see the beautiful face that was now looking down at her.

She did appear to be kindhearted, so kindhearted that even now, Bonnie Clark couldn't believe that this woman in front of her was the one responsible for sending her to this living hell.

The prison cell was damp, cold, and dark -- the woman's gaze was like two sharp blades. As soon as it fell on her, it pierced her skin, leaving her bleeding profusely.

"What are you here for?"

Bonnie Clark tilted her head back, her hair full of dust and blood staining her right cheek, the tingling sensation making the already damaged side of her face throb with pain.

"I'm here to see you."

Tracy Clark squatted down, her voice filled with apparent joy.

"Bonnie, we're here to give you some good news. Thompson and I are getting married soon. His sickness is completely cured, there's no need to wait any longer."

Thompson... At the mention of his name, Bonnie Clark's already numb heart gave another sharp throb, her blood-stained eyes slowly turning towards the man standing next to Tracy Clark.

He stood tall and straight, without any bend in his body, only lowering his gaze to look at her.

His gaze was ice cold.

"Thompson..."

Bonnie Clark began to mutter, tears mixed with blood sliding down her face to her lips, tasting both bitter and metallic.

Suddenly, her head full of ash-grey hair was roughly yanked. Tracy Clark pulled up her face, which was twisted into a sinister expression.

"Bonnie Clark, take a good look at yourself. Do you think that the Robinson family adopted you because Auntie liked you? Ridiculous. You probably won't even know until your dying breath. They only wanted to find a cure for Thompson. He has a rare disease, and his internal organs could fail at any time. He needed a donor close by. And you... you are that donor."

Her speech paused as her sharp nails cruelly scratched across Bonnie Clark's right cheek. The edge of her nail was immediately stained with disgusting slivers of flesh.

That side of the face was covered in fresh scars, clustered in patches. As her fingertip glided across, it felt like a dagger was carving into her tender skin inch by inch.

"How dare you covet him? Do you know how annoying your face is? Well, it doesn't matter now. Even as a ghost, you're still an ugly one. You should have been dead a long time ago, you know that? The sea didn't drown you, you must be lucky.

But not this time. So what if I poisoned the soup? We need to get rid of him, and whether we succeed or fail, someone has to take the blame, and you're the perfect scapegoat."

No, this can't be true, they're all lying to me.

How could he not love her? Were those romantic moments only her imagination?

Bonnie Clark turned her gaze back at Thompson Robinson, desperately reached out, and grabbed his pants.

"You said you loved me. You said you loved me!"

"I love you?"

His voice was chillingly indifferent, with sarcastic curvature evident on his scarlet thin lips.

"Bonnie Clark, why would you take a man's play seriously? Using your one kidney is already your greatest use. I can't stand your current face even for a minute."

It was her face. He only loved her stunning beauty when she was well. Oh, and her healthy and vigorous organs too.

"Get lost."

He lifted his foot and kicked her wrist hard.

Her hand hit the wall because of the kick, it was excruciating.

"Heh, you deserve it."

Tracy Clark laughed joyfully, and Bonnie Clark suddenly turned her gaze to her.

"Tracy Clark."

Struck by the physical and emotional pain simultaneously, Bonnie Clark howled hoarsely, she charged forward, knocking the crouching Tracy Clark to the ground in front of her.

Caught off guard, Tracy Clark fell back on the floor. Bonnie Clark's hands reached out recklessly, intending to strangle Tracy Clark's neck.

However, before her hands could touch Tracy Clark's neck, the collar of her dress was abruptly pulled up by someone.

Following that, her body was flung aside, with her head colliding hard into the sturdy wall.

In her pain-stricken stupor, she saw the man she once deeply loved, his face full of disgust towards her.

"Kill her. Say she couldn't bear the guilt and committed suicide by hitting her head against the wall. Rest assured, if something goes wrong, the Robinson family will bear the consequences.."

He said.
