Revenge of the Forsaken Son-in-Law

Chapter 2

Upon descending the mountain, Duncan did not rush for revenge. Instead, he boarded the plane headed to Liverpool.

Liverpool, the place where his family resided.

Three months after his death, his master told him that his parents and sister passed away in a car accident, unsaveable.

Thinking about it, two threads of murderous intent shot forth from Duncan's eyes.

It seemed as if he wanted to pierce the sky itself asking for an explanation. Why had this happened?

"None of you will survive! I'll make you taste what despair feels like!"

Duncan clenched his fist, an ominous power radiated from within, causing his clothes to flutter without wind.

Just then, a faint voice reached his ears.

Duncan reigned his aura, he turned his head to see a mature woman in scanty clothing sitting beside him.

The woman boasted a long ponytail, her neck was white as snow. She wore professional attire that accentuated her plump figure, a typical strong and bossy woman.

Her face was pale at this moment, one hand clutching her chest, her expression agonized. The button on her blouse was unfastened, revealing a deep cleavage!

Upon seeing Duncan, she said in pain, "Sir... Help... me..."

"What do you need? Right here?" said Duncan, taken aback.

Just eight years in the mountain and society had become so liberal! Was it really acceptable to do such a thing under the watchful eyes of everyone?

Amidst Duncan's bewilderment, the woman nodded in agreement.

"Right now? Right here? Are you sure?" Duncan asked in bewilderment, his questions rolling out one after the other. It's crucial to clarify things! After all, he is a decent person.

"Quickly..."

"Me...That...What, miss? This doesn't seem right! I'm a decent person! Why don't... Why don't we go to the bathroom? It's more convenient there."

Duncan was in a daze when the lady pointed to the small bag at her feet. In his surprise, a secretary-dressed lady came in from behind the business class curtain and yelled angrily:

"You scoundrel! What are you babbling about! Our Madame Madison is asking you to hand over the medicine in the bag! What are you thinking, you dirty pervert, why don't you just drop dead!"

"What?"

Duncan’s face turned bright red in an instant. He couldn’t believe such a misunderstanding could arise.

Secretary Aubery glared sternly at Duncan and said, "You jerk, hurry up and hand over the bag. Our Madame Madison has a heart condition, can you afford to delay? Hurry up!"

Only then did Duncan react. He quickly handed over the small bag from the floor.

Aubery instantly pulled out a small medicine bottle from inside, poured out two freedom pills, and fed them to the panting beauty. After taking the medicine, the lady’s complexion improved noticeably.

"Phew.."

The lady, lying on the seat, exhaled relief, after a while she opened her eyes and said, “Thank you, sir! I am Madison Ray! May I know your name?”

"Duncan."

"Mr. Madison! Why are you thanking this damn rascal, his words earlier were utterly vile!"

Once Duncan heard this, he immediately became displeased.

"Miss, if you must call me a rascal, could you at least remove the 'damn' part?"

"Hmph! Playing the victim, are you? You are indeed a damn rascal! If we were not on a plane! I would've been beating you up for what you just spouted!" Aubery said, bitterly.

She then complained to Mr. Madison again, "Mr. Madison, how many times have I reminded you that life-saving medication should always be kept on you, but you never listen. What would happen if there was an accident?"

"It's fine. It's just an old chronic condition I've had since childhood, it's not fatal."

As Madison Ray spoke, recalling her conversation with Duncan, her face turned a faint red.

"Not fatal?"

Duncan sat down and coldly replied, "Miss, I'm afraid you have no idea what kind of disease you have. If you did, you wouldn't speak so lightly!"

"What are you saying, you damn rascal? What are you implying?" Aubery retorted angrily.

"Sir! What are you implying with your words earlier?" Madison Ray's expression also darkened.

"There’s nothing being implied! I'm simply stating that your disease isn't congenital heart disease, but cardiac necrosis! It's a fatal disease, and if you don't find treatment soon, I'm afraid you won't live for more than three months!" Duncan explained.

"You damned rascal! How dare you speak ill of Mr. Madison, you want to die, do you? Do you even appreciate who our Mr. Madison is? Just spouting nonsense!"

"With Mr. Madison's prestige, globally renowned doctors from various hospitals have examined Mr. Madison! What could you, a damn rascal, possibly know? Cardiac necrosis? Does such a disease even exist in the world? Seems like you are suffering from cerebral necrosis!"

"Are you having ill intentions because you’re finding our Mr. Madison attractive? Let me tell you, damn rascal, your trick is way too outdated!" Li Xueimei continued to scold sarcastically.

Duncan couldn't be bothered to engage, so he turned to Madison Ray and said, "If I am not mistaken, when your condition flares up, you experience a severe pain in the chest! This is accompanied by difficulty in breathing, coughing, and other symptoms of heart failure, such as blurred consciousness, pale skin, icy limbs, whole-body perspiration, and even signs of shock!"

"What's more," he continued, "These symptoms have been getting progressively worse over the past few years. There's no regular pattern to the frequency of your attacks, sometimes even a small incident can trigger them! Your dosage of medication has been constantly increasing! And the drugs aren't as effective as they used to be, correct?"

Upon hearing this, Madison Ray's displeased expression turned into one of surprise, "How... How did you know?"

"Do not concern yourself with how I know," Li retorted. "All of this is happening because you've mistaken necrosis of the heart vessels for heart disease! While the medication can control the condition, it's also accelerating the necrosis of your heart vessels! You could have lived until thirty, now you can only live until twenty-six!"

"From your aura and facial traits, I'd assume you're almost twenty-six this year, correct? Hence, I conclude that if you don't find a cure soon, there's no hope of reversing this!"

As he finished speaking, Madison Ray's face became even paler, and her body started to shake slightly.

"Madison, don't listen to this nonsense from this deadbeat! He obviously is a fraud, claiming to know your age from your face! Who does he think he is, a master fortune teller? He might be just a paparazzi, don't believe him!" Upon seeing Madison Ray's condition, Aubery quickly tried to reassure her.

However, she barely finished speaking when all of a sudden, Madison Ray began having a severe convulsion, her breathing becoming more labored. Her eyes rolled back in her head, and finally, she fainted.

"Miss Madison! What's wrong? Don't scare me... Miss Madison! Wake up..." Aubery, shocked, began shaking Madison Ray frantically.

"Stop shaking her, you're only making it worse," Duncan interjected, having frowned at her actions. "She's suffering from necrosis of the heart vessels, her vital energy isn’t circulating properly! The life essence in her body can't travel its natural course, she’s quickly losing it! If no action is taken in the next ten minutes, she's undoubtedly going to die!"

"What did you just say?"
