Alana's POV**
My eyes were moving around, searching for Diana but I couldn't find her anywhere. I wore my backpack perfectly on my back and walk out of the classroom.
"Alana, I have been looking for you since God knows when," Diana said as she run towards me, I stopped walking so that she could catch up with me, when she got to where I was standing, she exhaled loudly, her hand beating violently against her chest.
"I was searching for you too after class but couldn't find you so I thought you have another class today." I retorted before I resume walking. She grabbed my hand and looked at me pleadingly.
I knew what she was about to ask of me but I promised myself not to be a part of her game no more. I only have two friends and they were Diana and Beth, Diana was the crazy and wayward one while Beth was the calm one like me.
After classes every day Diana would give me her assignment to write for her, she was never interested in doing researches or anything school related, well except from swimming.
"Just one more time Alana, come on Lana just this once and I won't bother you with this again." She said, she always recite that line every single day.
"This once Diana, this once and I won't do this for you again, you know that we will both be in trouble if we get caught." I told her, she removed her backpack from her back and opened it then hand over the notebook to me.
"Good girl, I want to have 5 of 5 so do it well alright? I'll see you tomorrow." She said before walking away. I stared at the book for awhile before putting it inside my backpack and walk away.
My school was just about twenty minutes walk from my house so most of the time I save my cab money and walk instead.
In no distant time I already got to my house, i pulled the front door open and removed my shoe before walking inside the house.
"Mom, am home!" I called on my mother, I looked up at the stairs to know if she was coming but I couldn't hear any sound.
"Mom?" I called yet again and walk deeper inside the living room,i walk inside the kitchen to drink so e water when I saw a note on the kitchen island.
'SORRY SWEETHEART, BUT I LEFT ON AN URGENT ASSIGNMENT IN NEW YORK AND I WONT MAKE IT TO YOUR BIRTHDAY,BUT YOU KNOW THAT I LOVE YOU, HAPPY BIRTHDAY IN ADVANCE BABY'
I sighed softly and trashed the note away inside the bin. I walk towards the fridge and opened it then brought out the jug.
My dad and mom a left for work meanwhile my birthday is less than ten hours, just great!
After drinking some water,I left the kitchen and climb upstairs to my room, I dropped my backpack on my bed before walking inside my closet, I changed into my casual wears before going back inside my room.
I sat down on the bed and opened my backpack then bring out my phone. I turn on my WiFi and log into my Facebook account, just immediately, message pop in, in both Beth, Diana and my group chat.
" Alana, what is your plan for tomorrow?" Beth asked me. I stared at the message for a few minutes, thinking of the perfect reply.
"Just eat and drink then sleep, I don't know what else to do," I responded.
"Don't be boring Alana, this 18th birthday will be the best for you, girl we're going to be in college before summer, why acting so dull" this was coming from Diana, typically Diana.
"I heard about this popular club in town, it is the biggest club and I heard that the owner is freaking rich! Girl, that is where your birthday will be celebrated " I frowned my face as I read the message.
No,I'm not about to go to a club, that won't happen.
Instead of dragging words with her, I decided to log in instead.
I dropped my phone on the bed and walk out of the room to look for something to eat.
Being the only daughter in my family, I have always been pampered but in a moderate way. To be honest my parents are going be of the most strict parents on Earth, not only were they strict but also very religious.
Going to a club is definitely not an option because my parents would kill me if they get to know.
I'm not going to let Diana sweet talk me into going there with her. I don't even know anything about clubs.
I got downstairs and stroll inside the kitchen, I opened the fridge but could only find a cup of ramen noodles.
Oh shit, don't tell me that mom forgot to cook!
I searched for something else but could only find tofu, not going to eat it so I went for ramen instead. I grabbed a bottle of milk and picked my fork then walk back inside the living room.
My parents weren't rich neither were they poor, we're of middle class status.
We were satisfied with what we had.
