In an opulent bedroom, Eleanor Sanders slowly regained consciousness.

She jerked upright in bed,

her head pounding with a sharp pain.

What on earth was happening? Hadn’t she already died?

As her eyes adjusted to the surroundings, Eleanor immediately recognized her old bedroom at the Sanders estate—seven years in the past.

At that moment, Kate, the maid, entered the room and gasped with joy upon seeing Eleanor awake. "Miss Sanders! You’re awake! This is wonderful news!"

Eleanor’s confusion deepened as she looked at Kate.

She touched her head and felt the thick bandage of white gauze wrapped around it.

Suddenly, memories surged back with overwhelming force.

She had been reborn!

She had returned to the very day seven years ago when Vivian Sanders had come back.

Originally, Eleanor was the Sanders family’s heiress. But after a car accident revealed her blood type did not match with her parents, she discovered she had been switched with another baby at the hospital at birth.

By the time she awoke, the true heiress, Vivian, had been found and restored to the Sanders family.

Eleanor had been prepared to step aside for Vivian, but to her surprise, Vivian had fought to keep her in the family, promising they could remain close, like sisters even closer than by blood.

Eleanor had grown up with the Sanders family, developing a deep attachment to them and her parents.

Reluctant to leave everything behind, she agreed to stay. But from the very moment she decided to remain, things began to go awry.

Vivian, upon her return, had continuously schemed against Eleanor.

Initially, Eleanor told herself that Vivian was the rightful heir and deserved everything the Sanders family had to offer. She felt it was only fair to return what had been taken from Vivian.

However, Eleanor hadn’t anticipated Vivian’s true desires.

Vivian wanted not just Eleanor's place but everything Eleanor had—her social connections, her future!

Strangely, ever since Vivian’s return, Eleanor’s life had unraveled.

Her once-close friends and family had distanced themselves from her.

Her reputation and honor had been shattered overnight.

Even the man she loved was taken from her by Vivian.

It seemed that Vivian had taken control of Eleanor’s life, seizing everything in advance and turning Eleanor into a target.

What was worse, no one saw through Vivian’s facade.

Everyone was deceived, believing Vivian was the innocent one and Eleanor the bitter, unbalanced one.

After being manipulated repeatedly, Eleanor fought back against Vivian but ultimately lost everything.

Even in her final moments, Vivian had casually revealed the truth:

Vivian was a reborn soul seeking revenge. She had known Eleanor’s future and envied her life, so she preemptively took everything from her.

Rebirth?

At first, Eleanor had no idea what that meant. It wasn’t until she experienced it herself that she truly understood.

Kate approached the bed, noticing Eleanor’s dazed smile, and gently touched her forehead.

“Miss Sanders, are you alright? Is this a lingering effect from the accident?”

Eleanor snapped back to reality and asked, “Is Vivian downstairs?”

Kate’s eyes widened in shock. “Miss Sanders, you knew?”

Eleanor lowered her gaze, a wry smile tugging at her lips, confirming her suspicions.

In her past life, the day she woke from the accident was the same day Vivian returned.

She had soon learned she was not the Sanders' true daughter; Vivian was.

Eleanor had originally planned to yield her place to Vivian but had been persuaded to stay.

This time, she refused to repeat that mistake.

She would find her biological parents!

Eleanor threw off the covers, climbed out of bed, and started gathering her things.

Kate was bewildered. “Miss Sanders, what are you doing?”

Eleanor replied coolly, “Don’t call me Miss Sanders anymore. I’m not the Miss Sanders.”

Kate looked on in shock.

Eleanor realized she had nothing of her own to pack.

Not a single item belonged to her.

After a moment’s thought, Eleanor ceased her packing and walked out of the room.

Downstairs, the Sanders parents, Andy Sanders and Rose Sanders were embracing Vivian, who was seated on the sofa, weeping as they said:

“Our dear child, so you are indeed our biological daughter—you’ve endured so much!”

“Vivian, we’ll make sure to compensate you for everything in the future!”

Eleanor observed the scene with detached indifference and descended the stairs.

Vivian, clad in faded jeans and a plain T-shirt, exuded a picture of innocence. She glanced at Eleanor coming down the stairs and quickly stood up from the sofa, nervously saying, “Sister, you’re finally down.”

Sister?

Really? She’s laying it on thick like she’s auditioning for a role.

In her past life, how had Eleanor not seen through Vivian’s act sooner?

Eleanor walked over with a stony expression.

Rose wiped her tears and said, “Eleanor, you’re awake! Come here, we need to talk.”

Andy nodded and added, “Eleanor, you’re not our biological daughter. Vivian is. After the accident, we did a blood test and discovered there had been a mix-up at the hospital when you were born. Now that Vivian is back, she will take your room. With school starting soon, you’ll move to the dorm.”

The Sanders were eager to disclose the truth, disregarding whether Eleanor, freshly waking from an accident, could handle it.

From this point, their hearts had already shifted towards Vivian.

In her past life, Eleanor had been too blind to see the truth, naively believing her parents loved her and were merely making sacrifices to make up for Vivian.

Eleanor walked over and sat on the sofa.

She met her parents' eyes and said calmly, “Mom and Dad, thank you for raising me for eighteen years. Since your biological daughter has returned, it’s only right for her to have the room. I’ll move out.”

Vivian, standing nearby, was stunned.

What was happening? This person was proposing to move out without any drama, unlike her memory of the past.

Andy and Rose were also taken aback and quickly said, “Eleanor, that’s not what we meant. Just because Vivian has returned doesn’t mean we want you to leave.”

Vivian hurried to Eleanor’s side, grasping her hand. “Yes, Eleanor, we can live together like real sisters. You’ve been with Mom and Dad for so many years; you can’t just leave. If I return and you leave, people might think Mom and Dad are kicking you out. How will you face them?”
